11/05/09 - Newtown Sports Old Boys Charity Game
On Sunday 10th May 2009, the first ever Newtown Old Boys Charity Game in aid of the Air Ambulance took place at Malvern Town's Langlands Stadium, on a very hot day!

With the Chairman's XI average age drastically reduced, with an U18 representative, they took a 2-0 lead at half-time. But the President's XI fought back gallantly, albeit with a few extra players, to claw back the lead. In the end, the game finished in a respectable 5-5 draw as the game concluded at walking pace.

The one winner was the Air Ambulance for whom £100 was raised.

The Club wishes to thank the Cup's sponsor, Dytecna, and Malvern Town FC for the use of their facilities.
