  • 29/11/11 - Sling Lane - Update
At a meeting of the council's executive committee on Tuesday - November 22nd 2011, members agreed that MHDC should take over the lead in the Sling Lane project from Newtown Sports Junior Football Club (NSJFC)

Despite the continued misguided belief of a minority that the Club wants to "take-over" the area as their own, the Club will continue to support the community in providing opportunities for all our children to enjoy our national sport, whilst lobbying for the basic provision of suitable facilities for the dignity and safety of those using the areas, such as Sling Lane, both formally and informally.

As Danny Wren said: "I think the council is making the right decision. This is the council doing its job, providing facilities for local people."
    07/09/11 - Honours 2010/2011
